Role Overview

Your role is to conduct deep discovery, identify the 'cost of inaction', and present a future-state Odoo ecosystem that makes the investment an obvious decision.

Key Responsibilities

  • TECHNICAL DISCOVERY: Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with prospective clients to uncover hidden operational inefficiencies and technical debt.
  • SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE: Collaborate with Engineering and Functional heads to design high-level Odoo architectures that address specific RFI/RFP requirements.
  • DEMONSTRATION EXCELLENCE: Build and deliver customized Odoo 'Proof of Concept' (PoC) environments that simulate the prospect's actual data and workflows.
  • PROPOSAL CRAFTING: Lead the development of comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, ensuring that our value proposition is clearly articulated.
  • ROI MODELLING: Conduct 'Investment Gap Analysis' and build TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models that prove the long-term fiscal benefits of Odoo.
  • RFP GOVERNANCE: Manage the end-to-end response process for complex enterprise RFPs, coordinating inputs from multiple departments.
  • RELATIONSHIP ARCHITECTURE: Build long-term trust with key decision-makers (CTOs, CFOs, COOs) during the 3-9 month sales cycle.
  • HANDOVER INTEGRITY: Ensure a seamless handover of the 'Sales Context' to the implementation team, ensuring that what was promised is clearly documented.
  • MARKET INTELLIGENCE: Maintain a surgical understanding of the ERP competitive landscape (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) and Scidecs' unique differentiators.
  • EVENT REPRESENTATION: Act as a technical subject matter expert at industry trade shows, webinars, and Odoo Experience events.

What we're looking for

  • CONSULTATIVE EXPERIENCE: 4-7 years in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, or Functional Consulting for ERP/SaaS platforms.
  • Odoo FLUENCY: Deep functional knowledge of Odoo Enterprise modules. You must be able to configure a basic demo environment from scratch.
  • SALES ACUMEN: Proven ability to support the closing of enterprise-level deals (INR 25L+ contract value).
  • PRESENTATION SOVEREIGNTY: Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills. You can hold a room's attention for 2 hours while explaining ERP architecture.
  • BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE: Strong understanding of various industry verticals—Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, and Services.
  • ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: MBA or an Engineering degree with a strong interest in business processes.
  • EMPATHY: The ability to listen more than you talk. You find the pain before you offer the cure.
  • CERTIFICATION: Odoo Functional Certification is a significant advantage.
  • TOOLING: Proficiency in CRM tools, Loom, and Odoo Studio for rapid demo prototyping.
  • MOBILITY: Frequent travel across India and target international markets is required.
