Role Overview

STRATEGIC MANDATE: At Scidecs, our Functional Consultants are the bridge between raw business ambition and architectural reality. As a Senior Functional Consultant, you are responsible for the 'Functional Sovereignty' of our clients—ensuring that every Odoo module is configured to deliver maximum fiscal and operational ROI. You will lead high-stakes discovery workshops, mapping the intricate processes of manufacturing giants and global traders into the elegant logic of the Odoo ecosystem. Your goal is to eliminate process friction and build a single source of truth for the boardroom. OPERATIONAL GOVERNANCE: You will be the ultimate authority on how a business should run on Odoo. This involves challenging the status quo, identifying operational inefficiencies, and architecting solutions that minimize custom code while maximizing system agility. You are expected to have a surgical understanding of Accounting, Supply Chain, and MRP II principles.

Key Responsibilities

• DISCOVERY & SCOPING: Lead Phase 0 diagnostic workshops with C-level stakeholders to identify operational bottlenecks and define the digital transformation roadmap.
• PROCESS MAPPING: Translate complex, often undocumented business processes into standardized Odoo functional flows, ensuring 100% statutory compliance.
• ARCHITECTURAL CONFIGURATION: Supervise the end-to-end configuration of multi-company, multi-currency Odoo databases, ensuring data integrity across all modules.
• BRD/FSD AUTHORSHIP: Write precise Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specifications that leave zero room for ambiguity during the engineering phase.
• UAT LEADERSHIP: Orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, managing client expectations and ensuring all functional 'Must-Haves' are validated before go-live.
• TRAINING ARCHITECTURE: Design and deliver role-based training programs for 'Super Users' and administrators, ensuring high system adoption rates.
• PROJECT GOVERNANCE: Partner with Project Managers to ensure that functional scope is respected and that budget burn-rates are aligned with delivery value.
• POST-GO-LIVE STABILIZATION: Lead the critical hyper-care phase after go-live, ensuring that any functional friction is identified and eliminated immediately.
• CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Guide clients through the cultural shift of ERP adoption, providing the strategic support needed to transition from legacy mindsets.
• PRE-SALES CONSULTATION: Support the sales team by architecting high-impact product demonstrations that solve specific prospect pain points.

What we're looking for

• ERP EXPERTISE: 5-10 years of experience in ERP consulting (SAP B1, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics), with at least 4 years focused on Odoo.
• DOMAIN MASTERY: Expert-level knowledge in Indian GST/TDS accounting, complex Inventory valuation (FIFO/AVCO), or Advanced Manufacturing scheduling.
• DELIVERY TRACK RECORD: Successfully led at least five end-to-end Odoo implementations for enterprise-level clients (INR 500Cr+ revenue).
• ANALYTICAL RIGOUR: Ability to dissect a business model and identify its core value drivers within 48 hours of discovery.
• SOFT SKILLS: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills. You must be able to say 'no' to a client when standard logic is better than a custom mess.
• ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: CA, MBA (Finance/Operations), or a degree in Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.
• Odoo CERTIFICATION: v16 or v17 Functional Certification is required.
• METHODOLOGY: Deep familiarity with Agile implementation methodologies and the Odoo 'Standard-First' philosophy.
• TOOLING: Proficiency in BPMN tools, Jira, and Odoo Studio for rapid prototyping.
• MOBILITY: Willingness to travel to client sites across India and the Middle East for high-stakes workshops.
