Senior Odoo Technical Consultant

As a Senior Odoo Technical Consultant, you are the vanguard of this mission. You will be responsible for translating high-stakes business requirements into resilient, scalable, and upgrade-safe technical architectures. Your work will directly impact the operational sovereignty of Tier-1 industrial clusters, global distributors, and high-growth service firms across India and the Middle East. This role requires a rare blend of deep engineering expertise, architectural foresight, and a relentless commitment to zero-defect delivery. TECHNOLOGICAL SOVEREIGNTY: We believe in the purity of the Odoo core. Your primary directive is to maintain 'core separation'—ensuring that every customization we build is modular, upgrade-safe, and isolated from the standard Odoo code. You will lead the development of complex functional extensions, from multi-entity financial engines to custom MRP II schedulers. You are expected to be an expert in Python, PostgreSQL optimization, and the Odoo ORM. You will oversee the deployment of high-availability cloud infrastructures on Odoo.sh, AWS, and GCP, ensuring that our clients' data is secure and their systems are performant under massive concurrent loads.

Key Responsibilities
- ARCHITECTURAL LEADERSHIP: Lead the technical design of Odoo ecosystems for conglomerate-level clients, ensuring multi-company consolidation and global data consistency.
- ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE: Develop high-integrity custom modules using the latest Odoo versions (v17/v18), focusing on performance-optimized ORM usage and secure API gateways.
- GOVERNANCE & AUDIT: Conduct deep-dive technical audits of legacy Odoo environments, identifying technical debt and architecting refactoring paths for version upgrades.
- INTEGRATION ARCHITECTURE: Design and implement resilient bidirectional bridges between Odoo and external enterprise stacks (SAP, NetSuite, legacy mainframes) using REST/GraphQL.
- MENTORSHIP & STANDARDS: Define internal coding standards (SAS - Scidecs Architectural Standard) and mentor a team of 5+ technical consultants through complex delivery cycles.
- INFRASTRUCTURE GOVERNANCE: Manage high-availability server clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to ensure 99.9% system reliability.
- SECURITY & COMPLIANCE: Implement enterprise-grade security protocols, including OAuth2, data encryption at rest, and GDPR/statutory data localization compliance.
- PERFORMANCE TUNING: Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and Python logic to support thousands of concurrent users in high-velocity warehouse environments.
- STAKEHOLDER ALIGNMENT: Collaborate with Functional Leads and C-level stakeholders to validate that technical architectures solve concrete business bottlenecks.
- R&D CONTRIBUTION: Stay ahead of the Odoo roadmap, prototyping new features (like OWL framework advancements) before they become industry standards.
What we're looking for
- PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 5-8+ years of demonstrable expertise in Python engineering, with at least 5 years dedicated specifically to the Odoo framework.
- ARCHITECTURAL DEPTH: Proven track record of architecting at least three full-cycle Odoo implementations for companies with 200+ users.
- TECHNICAL STACK: Expert-level command of PostgreSQL (indexing, partitioning, VACUUM), Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), and Nginx configuration.
- FRONTEND PROFICIENCY: Strong understanding of the Odoo web framework, including OWL (Odoo Web Library), JavaScript, and XML/QWeb templating.
- DEVOPS MENTALITY: Significant experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git-flow, and automated deployment tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- FUNCTIONAL ACUMEN: Deep understanding of business logic in core modules: Accounting (multi-currency/GST), Inventory (MTO/MTS), and Manufacturing (Work Centers).
- ACADEMIC FOUNDATION: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a Tier-1 institution.
- COMMUNICATION SOVEREIGNTY: Exceptional ability to explain complex architectural trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in perfect English.
- PROBLEM SOLVING: A proven ability to troubleshoot production-blocking issues under high pressure with a systematic, evidence-based approach.
- CERTIFICATION: Official Odoo Certification for v16 or v17 is mandatory.
